Farm Fresh Foodie – Sneak Peak!
I am constantly re-inventing myself and finding new ways to stand out amongst the crowd of adorable baby clothing on the market. After a lot of soul searching and research over the past few months, I realized that my “business” needed some tweaking. I am a creative addict and I was starting to lose sight of what it was that I was “creating”.
At the heart of it all, here is what has remained constant: organic. recycled fabric appliques and handmade.
Inspired by my professional background of pastry and foodstyling, I have created a more streamlined Twice Upon a Time. And, I am thrilled to be launching my new Farm Fresh Foodie Line at the upcoming East Coast Momma Collective’s Spring Fair.

Spring has Sprung!
The ECMC hosts unique craft fairs for Atlantic Canadian Mommas (like Twice Upon A Time!) who want to showcase their creations and sell to the local community.
Join us for the ECMC Spring Fair on Sunday, April 28th from 9am-3pm at the St Mary’s Boat Club in Halifax… lots of exciting new ideas planned for this craft fair so keep an eye on the website for news.
Lately, I feel like I have played a bit of “hide and seek” when it comes to Twice Upon A Time. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good suspenseful game of h & s but, not when it involves my business!
I have a full-time career. I am a mother to two beautiful children. AND, I own and run Twice Upon A Time all on my own (yes, I even make all the pieces I sell!). I hate using the word “hobby” business because it was and IS more important to me than just a past-time. I put so much of my heart in to the company, even taking a one year unpaid leave from my career. Now, I have returned to work – and, I am juggling.
Trying to make it ALL fit in to my life.
I am always creating. I am keeping up with etsy shop‘s online sales. I am filling incoming wholesale orders to six stores in Canada. I am also planning on attending the upcoming East Coast Momma Collective Fair (MARK YOUR CALENDERS! ECMC Spring Fair Sunday, April 28th from 9am-3pm).
Twice Upon A Time is part of my life in a BIG way. Thank you to my customers for understanding and supporting me on this journey. It has been a wild ride!

MERRY little CHRISTMAS
Christmas to me is about seeing the world through a child’s eyes. If a child could imagine a perfect world, I bet it would look like magical glittery filled snow globes with sugar-plum fairies, toy soldiers, candy cane lined streets and twinkling lights.
Children don’t see the stress of the holidays; worry about who is getting what, schedules, budgets, transportation or family tension.
I don’t think they notice whether the lights are clear, multicolored or LED.
They don’t see if the ribbon is missing on a gift, the cookies didn’t get decorated the way it showed on Pinterest, or how you searched 25 stores for the perfect ornaments to match your winter birds theme.
It is sort of peaceful to think of Christmas as the perfect backdrop to a child’s imagination. And, whether you believe in Santa Claus, Father Christmas, Uncle Chimney or prefer to think of Christmas as a purely Christian holiday; to a child, it is magical. Regardless of your reason to celebrate the season, I hope you have a child in your life who can show you the spirit behind the holiday.
I love the quiet hope and peace that fills my heart on Christmas Eve. I think about traditions and nostalgic yesterdays and look forward to seeing my children’s faces light up just talking about the magic of the holidays.
As I start to “unpack” Christmas from storage boxes in the coming weeks, I will try to remember that my children know all about Christmas and it doesn’t come from a store, box, or memory. It is their imagination. And, that is a wonderful place to be.
